Value-Added Producer Grants (VAPG)
Who can apply
- Small businesses
- Individuals
Agricultural producers (including harvesters and steering committees), producer groups, farmer or rancher cooperatives and majority-controlled producer-based business ventures that own and produce more than 50% of the raw commodity. A 1:1 cash or in-kind match is required.
About this grant
Grants help agricultural producers turn raw commodities into value-added products: planning grants up to $50,000 and working capital grants up to $200,000, about $25 million available in FY2026. Apply through USDA's Grant Application Portal after registering in SAM.gov and contacting a state Business Program Specialist.
