Who can apply
- Small businesses
Businesses with Maine-based leadership and scalable technical or scientific innovations in MTI's seven technology sectors. Customer validation, potential Maine economic benefits and at least a dollar-for-dollar match are required; some in-kind match may qualify at lower funding levels.
About this grant
The grant portion of MTI Business Innovation Funding supports development and commercialization. First awards commonly range from $10,000 to $30,000, with cumulative grants capped at $100,000 per company. Separately offered loans and equity investments are excluded.
