Mississippi On-the-Job Training Reimbursements
Who can apply
- Small businesses
Employers must offer full-time employment, have a federal tax identification number and active workers' compensation coverage, and maintain accurate employee records. Training must teach skills needed for the job, with an expectation of continued employment after successful completion. The local workforce office determines participant eligibility and the approved training arrangement.
About this grant
Mississippi's On-the-Job Training program reimburses employers for up to half the wages of eligible workers while they learn a new job. The program serves small businesses as well as larger employers. Participating employers arrange training through their local WIN Job Center.
