New Jersey UPSKILL Incumbent Worker Training Grants
Who can apply
- Small businesses
New Jersey employers can apply for training full-time frontline employees who have worked for them for at least six months. Classes generally need at least five trainees. Employers must provide a 50% match, which may include eligible employee wages, and retain trained workers for six months after training.
About this grant
UPSKILL reimburses employers for half the cost of training existing frontline workers. Single employers and employer consortia can request up to $250,000 in a funding round. The FY2027 notice announces a second round with required steps beginning in January 2027.
